Bangkok has 1000 registered skyscrapers and ranks 17th as the world's tallest city. This does not include hundreds of new buildings predicted as part of the construction boom in 2007 and the upcoming years. One negative side effect of all this is the sheer amount of abandoned developments - things get built, but not finished, possibly due to lack of funding....
